Hi I brought a bertini cot and have no instructions of how to put it together can u please help me. Posted on Jul 21, 2013. Even if your cot is not listed, check the models in the websites and have a look to different models instructions. Most M&P manuals are assembled in the same way. Jun 22, 2010.

Lost screws too

Hi there, we bought this cot 2nd hand and didn't check all the screws attached in a plastic bag as my daughter was just 4 months pregnant at that time. Now that we want to mount the cot we discovered that few screws were missing. Where can we buy the spare parts. We are looking for the locking unit and few other screws as well. Thank you for your help

Spacious baby cot that converts to toddlers bed without breaking the bank

Out of an extensive range of cots we have looked at before the arrival of our little munchkin, we decided to settle for this well known local brand and type of cot. It ticked all the boxes of what we were looking for in a cot including:
- choice of colours white/walnut
- roomy/spacious; bigger than other average cots
- material
- well known brand = meet safety standard
- supporting our locals
- convert to a toddlers bed

Cot instructionUser manual

This Bertini Renaissance Cot has got to be our best buy yet. We chose the walnut colour over the white as this is the original colour of the wood without any paint over it I believe and it matches with our room decor.

We bought it at our local factory outlet in Sunshine (IGC DOREL warehouse), where the store person was very helpful and lovely. Cot also comes with other matching furnitures like the drawers, changetable, bookcase, mattress etc.. Best to buy directly from factory so you get the best deals. They also sell cute sheet sets, blankets and waterproof mattress protector to match with the size of this mattress.

Setting it up was a piece of cake so long you follow the instructions. So simple and easy. Disassembling is a no brainer too. Win-win situation when you already have so much things to do before baby arrive.

On a safety level this cot stands out. The gap between the side rails/bras are wide enough so child's hands or feet can't get stuck if get caught. The wood material is magic. The reason being is that are are strong wood but if a child accidentally bumps slightly/hard into it, besides the loud bang sound and a shock face, no tears or cry as it did not hurt at all. This applies to both adult and child as it happened to me too so thats how i knew haha. It's still best to avoid baby from knocks or bumps though :o)

Overall of the cot is very sturdy, heavy and stands strong. No wobbles even if you try. Easy to maintain as a simple wipe down is enough to clean, although the dust that gets caught in between the gaps are a little bit tricky as you have to clean individual ones.

This cot is bigger then the standard size cots so you will need the right mattress, which we also purchased at the same store (advisable to purchase all at once). The base has two levels you can set as a bassinet or lower level according to the childs age. We set at the lowest level when litlle one started moving around. One side rail has the pulling up and down mechanism, for easy access to baby. Works effortlessly, but may take some time to get used to for new parents.

What I love most is that this cot can convert into a toddler bed just by simply exchanging the side rails (came with the packaging).

Tip: the cot size is bigger then the standard single size doors at home, so it is best to assemble in the room you want it in.

I have attached a musical mobile to the cot rail and baby loves it. Upon removal, the hard plastic has left a slight dent and scratch on the wood exposing the lighter wood colour underneath. Not a big deal but just like to mention that so others are aware and becareful when attaching anything to the cot.

This is an amazing cot. Got a lot of compliments on it so we have recommended to our family and friends who are also happy with this product.

Thank you IGC DOREL for this amazing product as well as other baby products we also own from your range. Will not hesitate to try or buy products from you guys in the future.

Thank you.

Lost screws

Miele 42 induction cooktop. Hi there,
I was wondering can anyone please tell me what type of screws this cot takes. I used this cot a few years ago and now need to use it again. Hubby tried to set it up recently and realised we have lost the screws. Just unsure on what type to buy

Sue

Hopeless!

The cot looks great. One sides drops down to give access to the baby. But what we expected the least is that our daughter's legs were caught between the filler bars three times! Every time, she got bruises around her knees. This isn't something we expect from a well-known supplier like Bertini.

Excellent

Bought this cot almost 3 years back..and still using it. It is very strong..so far absolutely no issues..But for the fact that my daughter will grow out of it , I have no wish to change this cot. I strongly recommend this cot to anyone who is planning to buy a new baby cot.
Strong , durable, conertible cot
Absolutely

We purchased this cot new (walnut) in 2009 for our first baby. 2nd baby went into it in 2011 and is only now about to move into a 'big bed' at almost 2.5yrs old. Depsite other comments on scratching, ours has maybe 3/4 surface scratches on it after 3.5yrs of use, and a move from QLD to WA. In my opinion that has held up extremely well to every day use. I thought the drop-down side was a tad noisy at first, but it has never affected either of my sleeping babies. I would have no issues recommending this cot to anyone. Great size, looks good, good quality. Because it is larger than a standard cot, some sheets can be a bit tricky to fit and need a little stretching (if buying the standard cot size sheets), or simply buy the Boori Sheets.
Quality, Sturdy, looks great, excellent value, lasts well
I can't think of any, I really do love it.

IGC Are hopeless!

Bought it for my first had my second, base cracked and lucky my first didn't fall through it. IGC replaced the base in white for a walnut cot, sent a second base, they have since change the size by 10cm. Still waiting to put my 6 month old in his cot!
Nice looking and would be hard to tip over.
Warranty only 1 year most are 5 years they do replace out side warranty, if they can send you the right part!

Not a great product

After 2 years a mark has leaked through walnut stain. It is obvious that problem has come from timber used in bed. I purchased 2 beds and both have defective paint jobs. Beds have been well maintained in accordance with care instructions. Spoke with Bertini who advised me to restain / paint bed.

Poor staining and/or timber preparation.

As the wood is painted pine, the finish chips easily. I have the white finish and it is absolutely gorgeous so you cant notice the chips as much. The mattress position height can be changed from 'bassinet' to the lower cot position. The sides can then be removed for use as a toddler bed so its very economical. It was a little fiddly to put together but the instructions are helpful. Try and buy direct from warehouses. You'll get a great deal on a cot & linen package.
Looks great, solid construction. Great price if you know where to shop
Paint chips easily

I was originally looking for a Boori, however after seeing this cot I changed my mind. I love the look of it and the brightness of the white paint over the creamier Boori white. The matching change table, makes it a great looking nursery. My son is now 2 and it's lasted with no issues. About to convert it to the toddler bed now.
Great look. Great price when compared to other brands
A little clunky when lowering and raising the side rail. It hasn't seemed to affect my sleeping son however

I have been using this cot for 6 months now - we went with the Walnut colour because all white cots are painted instead of stained which means baby can chip the paint.

We have been very happy with it - we have the mattress lowered now as our bub can sit up on her own.

Our drop side is quiet - so not sure about the previous comment.

Over all we could not be happier - it was a very well priced cot and is extremely solid and well made in our opinion.
Very Solid Cot - converts to Toddler bed - single hand dropside - looks like the boori classic but doesn't have the boori price tag
can't think of any

Good

Overall I am happy with the cot, it does seem sturdy and like it would last a few years at least.
We bought it on sale and it was a reasonable price considering others that look similar. Looks lovely and is not so overwhelming or large that nothing else fits in the bedroom. Converts to a bed easily and all the parts are included to convert it. 2 levels for safety and a drop down side.
The drop down side is quite noisy which I had worried about when putting a young baby to sleep but it hasnt actually been a problem.

OK

NZ pine, made in Malaysia. Nice product, just disappointing that it can be so easily scratched. In reassembling the cot to lower the base, one of the allan key screws became threaded, indicating to me, the quality of the parts used. That said, Bertini were quick to send a free replacement.
Stylish with a nice finish. Bertini service.
Expensive, considering: easily scratched and marks are obvious as it is made from pine.

Love it, would defiantly buy this brand again. They also do prams, which im looking at buying now. Price was great. I brought it as a package from a baby shop in caroline springs

Havent come across a con as yet

I do love it and would buy it again as it looks great and did cost an arm and leg. It was easy to put together just make sure you follow the instructions and dont't try to wing it.
I love it, the fact that it converts from a cot with 2 matress positions to a toddler bed is fantastic.
As it is wider and longer than a normal cot buying linen is a little harder and you dont really find it on sale. I have the wood look and the stain does tend to chip especially where I have been leaning over the rail to pick up by baby when I have been wearing a belt. I was a little disappointed that it was only pine and not a real hardwood.

I would recommend this cot. My bub sleeps in it very soundly. We looked at many other cots, but this one represented the best value for money.
I love this cot. It is good quality wood, and a nice big size.It is slightly larger than standard cots and it converts to a bed with side r ailings for when your baby gets to the next stage. The mattress is nice and firm. Linen is also now readily available for this larger size cot.
It is a little bit of a pain to put together with not-so-great instructions, but we got there.
